Pulwama CRPF Convoy Attack 2019

A Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber rammed a vehicle packed with 350 kg of RDX into a CRPF convoy on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway in Pulwama, killing 40 CRPF personnel — the deadliest terrorist attack on security forces in Kashmir since the insurgency began.

Pathankot Airbase Attack 2016

Jaish-e-Mohammed militants attacked the Pathankot Air Force Station. NSG, Army, and Air Force personnel conducted a 3-day counter-terror operation to neutralise all six attackers. Seven security personnel were killed.

Mumbai 26/11 Terror Attack 2008

Ten Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists arrived by sea and launched coordinated attacks across Mumbai, targeting the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Oberoi Trident, Nariman House, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Cama Hospital. NSG commandos conducted the primary counter-terror operations. 166 civilians and 18 security personnel were killed.

Akshardham Temple Attack 2002

Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists stormed the Akshardham temple complex in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, killing 30 civilians and wounding 80 before NSG commandos neutralised both attackers in a 16-hour operation.

Indian Parliament Attack 2001

Five armed Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists attacked the Indian Parliament building on 13 December 2001. Security forces — CRPF, Delhi Police, and Parliament Security Service — fought them off, preventing a catastrophic hostage situation. Nine security personnel and one gardener were killed.

IC 814 Kandahar Hijacking 1999

Indian Airlines Flight IC 814 was hijacked by five Harkat-ul-Mujahideen terrorists and flown to Kandahar, Afghanistan. NSG and intelligence agencies worked through the crisis over 8 days. One passenger was killed.
